Inspired Balance Events 2008
Inspired Balance will be offering massage at several events in 2008. Here are a few events we will be working this summer:
HRCA Cinco de Mayo 5k Run/Walk - May 3rd
This race is perfect if you are trying to beat your best 5k time! Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with this Run/Walk that also happens to be a Bolder Boulder qualifier! Proceeds benefit El Centro Su Teatro is a multidisciplinary Latino cultural arts center with emphases in theatre, film, poetry, music, and arts education.
Barkin’ Dog Duathlon - May 10th
This is the 10th year for the Barkin' Dog Duathlon, Colorado's largest duathlon, and consistently the largest duathlon in the Western United States. This race serves as the unofficial season opener for Colorado multisport athletes, attracting some of the top pro's in the country as well as a whole slew of first-time multisport athletes trying something different. If you can finish a 10K, you can complete a duathlon!
HRCA Tune Up Sprint Triathlon – June 7th
This first triathlon in the Highlands Ranch Run Series is a great way to tune up for the summer. With a 500 yard indoor swim, 12 mile bike and 5k run this can jump start your racing season! The Arthritis Foundation is the beneficiary of proceeds from the HRCA Tune Up Sprint Triathlon. The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
5430 Sprint Triathlon - June 15th
The 5430 Sprint Triathlon is ideal for the new triathlete, as well as the seasoned veteran looking for an early season competition. While relatively short in distance, the Sprint will be complete with all the bells and whistles of a quality, premiere event.
Tri the Creek Sprint Triathlon - June 21st
HRCA Independence Day 5K – July 4th
Celebrate the 4th of July with a fun 5K run utilizing the streets and trail systems of Highlands Ranch. Developmental Pathways is the beneficiary for the July 4th race. Developmental Pathways is a Colorado non-profit agency created to serve persons with developmental disabilities and their families.
HRCA Tri-N-July Sprint Triathlon – July 19th
This is a new race for the Highlands Ranch Run Series. JA Worldwide is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers — all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential.
HRCA Splash-Mash-Dash Sprint Triathlon – August 9th
This is the most famous and favorite race among participants in the Highlands Ranch Run Series. With an indoor/outdoor 800 yard swim, 13 mile swim and 3.5 mile run this is a challenging course. Because the number one violent crime in Douglas County is domestic violence, this event raises money for The Women’s Crisis and Family Outreach Center. This organization is dedicated to significantly reducing domestic violence and family conflict through advocacy, empowerment, violence prevention, intervention services, and education.
Suzuki’s Newton 24 & 8 Hours of Triathlon + Duathlon - August 30th
This race is an inspirational challenge for first-time athletes and seasoned veterans in an event format that foster camaraderie and teamwork. Racers bond with each other by working towards a common goal and everyone finishes: satisfied, inspired and energized! Click here to sign up for your massage time slot at this event!
HRCA Oktoberfest 5K – September 13th
Starting and finishing at the Town Center in Highlands Ranch, this course is well suited for all ability levels. Proceeds benefit Jordan's Angel Foundation. Jordan’s Angel Foundation nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children with cancer and their special needs and was established in memory of eight year old Jordan Richey and her seven-year battle against leukemia. The foundation supports families with children in pediatric oncology who are experiencing emotional and financial needs.
Crescent Moon Sprint Triathlon - Sept. 20th
HRCA Backcountry 5 & 10 mile Trail Run – October 11th
This is the last race of the Highlands Ranch Run Series. This running event will utilize the HRCA Backcountry trail system with the option to complete the 5 mile or the 10 mile race. Proceeds benefit Girls on the Run (GOTR), a nonprofit organization that uses the power of running to change the way girls, ages 8-13, see themselves and their opportunities! Through this innovative health education and wellness program girls are inspired to a lifetime of self respect and healthy living.
